Al-Aqsa Mosque is considered as the third holiest place by the Muslims. Thus, it is a mosque that stands fairly within a country that is also shared by several other religions in terms of its sacred grounds. At the same time, the mosque has the Temple Mount right beside it as well as the Dome of Rock. The Al-Aqsa Mosque is mentioned in the Qur’an as the “Farthest Mosque.”
